Portugal Online Mobility
The fourth Learning/Teaching/Training activity of the ERASMUS+ KA229 Project Learn & Earn took place virtually from 23rd March to 25th March 2021. The participants, teachers and students, came from 4 European countries: Italy (Catania), Germany (Gummersbach) Malta (Paola) and Portugal (Fatima).
First Day- 23rd March 2021

We were supposed to attend this meeting in Portugal, but, due to the pandemic, we met in virtual mode via the ZOOM platform. The day started with a warm welcome from the Portuguese partners and their Headmaster, Mr Lourenço. Then, as planned in the programme, the Portuguese group showed us a video about their country. In nine minutes they showed us monuments, Cathedrals and the natural beauties of Portugal, their city with its wonderful Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima and the Colégio S. Miguel. The interesting video ended with the greetings from some students.
Right after the video, the Italian, German and Maltese students started to present their PPT about “What do you know about Portugal?”

After the presentations, the Portuguese teachers prepared a Kahoot game for students about how much they know about Portugal. The winners were the German guys. Afterwards, the Portuguese teachers divided the students into international groups in order to let them interact with each other and talk about their experience with the Pandemic situation in terms of personal life, school life and economic life. In the meanwhile teachers held a Staff meeting and discussed the tasks to be carried out in order to finalize the project activities.
Once students have finished their group work, they presented the results by speaking about how they are struggling with face masks, distance learning, social distancing from their friends and relatives and the uncertainty about their future. In the end, they all agreed about being positive and hoping to get out of this difficult situation as soon as possible. (Link to the results)
THE SECOND DAY: 24th MARCH 2021
The second day we attended a conference held by four experts in the field of Business.

Mr Hermano Gouveia, General Director of Panicongelados and Mr Nuno Cipriano, CEO in Vangest, who spoke and gave students advise about entrepreneurship and internationalization.
Then it was the turn of two former students, Mr Gustavo Ribeiro and Mr Ruben Ribeiro, graduated in Business Management, who own a shoe company called Ginova.
They spoke about their experience as entrepreneurs focusing on the importance of innovation and adaption.
Afterwards both teachers and students held an evaluation meeting during which they discussed about the project goals and results whose reports have been written down at the end. (Link 1, Link 2)

THIRD DAY: 25th MARCH 2021
Today is the 3rd and last day of the meeting.
It started as usual at 11 AM with the students presentations of their business plans:
“From Nature with Love- An Organic Restaurant” (Malta) and
Afterwards students focused on the key parts of their Business idea through by
presenting their StartApp elevator pitches. (Link Italy, Link Germany, Link Portugal and Link Malta)
As this was the last meeting of the Learn & Earn project, we all said goodbye promising to keep in touch and wishing to be able to meet again one day….
